Chapter 1 - XiStarry

Chapter 1 - XiStarry
================

I turn 18 years old today.

I walk to the outside, proudly. Each step tinges with proudness and happiness. Now, I am a perfect adult.

"Where are you going, child?", madam Noir, the landlady, asks with a smile.
"I'm going to the town, madam Noir. Life is not just under the roof", I explain with a hoarse voice of mine.

"Be aware of the surroundings, Xi. One does not simply known by the townsfolk", madam Noir continues while hanging dresses, trousers and blouses.

"I will, madam. One is grateful for kindness of madam," I reply, and soon step out of the green lawn, decorated beautifully with sunflowers, dandelions, white roses and forget-me-nots.
Yes. Forget-me-not. A flower, full of meanings. Never forget about who you are, where you came from, your identity. I'll never forget about them

Words from my mother.

I pick one of them, sniff at it.

"Today's going to be a great day," I talk to myself.
"I'll be back before dusk, madam Noir."
"I'll leave the dinner in the kitchen, dear XiStarry."

I wave. Smile. Leave.

... soon

"Hello young man." A man smiles to me. He looks like in his 40s. White beard. Pipe at his mouth. A beautifully-carved cane at his hand. Creative. "I've never seen you before. Is this your first step?"

"I seek to it, mister.", I reply with a smile. "May I know more about this town?"

"I expected as much, young man. When an egg is hatched, a bird is born. It has to learn about life. You are quite curious, you know." The man replies, sucking his pipe, then blows the smokes.

"This town is called 'Akhnar'. A small infamous town. Built since year 769. The first mayor of this small town was Sir Hakr, a former decent legionnaire. He came from Sherwood Forest, underneath Jirnar Mount, beside Shallow Lake."

The story becomes more interesting and more. Soon, he finishes it. I thank him, smile, bow and leave. I walk around the town. Clean. Beautiful. Decorative.

I go to the tavern.

I step inside. Folks everywhere. Table, stairs, bar. Everywhere. I seek for an empty table. There is. I walk to the table, located under the stairs. Mostly people won't seat there, because they won't risk their life of  getting killed under the old wooden stairs.

A young maiden approaches me. Pretty. Her ivy blue eyes staring at mine. Her small lips carve a sweet smile. Makes me feel want to kiss it, taste the sweetness of her lips. Her short black hair. The way she flips her obsidian gazed hair, makes me overwhelm. Wonderful.

"Excuse me, sir?," she waves at my face, staring at her beautiful blue eyes. I step onto the real world. Shaking my head. The girl giggles.
   "I'm sorry. I was....lost for while," I laugh a little. Followed by a wink.
"May I know, which drink would you prefer," she asks.
"I prefer wine more than beer, my dear," I reply.
   "Which one do you prefer?"
   "I seek for Schott 1389."
"You have a good taste, sir"
   "One is grateful," I smile.

Soon, the maiden comes with a bucket of ice. There's a bottle in it. She pulls it out. It's labelled 'SCHOTT 1389'. I remember what the landlord, master Zhor, always told me about drinks. He listed all the good one, while ruling out all the bad.

Schott 1389, Hyri Bottich, SJ43, Airsky and so the others.
The best among them is Hyri Bottich.

"This is what you are preferring, sir," says the girl
"I would be grateful if this young maiden could share me her name," I reply while staring at her, pouring the purple-black liquid into the mug.
"I would be glad to tell you my name," she answers.
   "I am honored"
   "My name is Grace"
   "Sweet Grace"
   "I'm enthuastic, sir"
"I would be glad to tell you my name either."
   "I wouldn't mind"
   "My name is XiStarry"
   "Persuasive XiStarry"
   "I'm glad"

We laughed a bit.

She excuses and leave. She goes back to her work.

I know

The feel in my chest.
Throbbing through my heart.
Stabbing my soul.
I can feel the ache

This is what they feel.

I've fell in love with her...

Grace...
