Chapter 8 - COL
Base

Today, I'm moving from the cabin to
somewere. It's called 'COL Base'. Perhaps it's a basement, maybe.
Heh. I thought to myself. I walk with a
walking stick. Slowly through the bushes. Puxxie leads me.
"Come on slowpoke. It's 5 miles
ahead.", she says to me. I glare at her.
"You know my condition, right?", I
provoke. She just smile.
"Poor boy. Yet I still don't know your
name, stranger.", she continues. I sigh.
"Names XiStarry.", I answer.
"Nice meeting with you, Xi.", she
says. Smiling at me.
"Hey can I ask you something?", I
ask. She nods.
We trekking the forest. Never thought the
forest very deep. Probably it's an ancient forest.
"How did you learn the sword
skills?", I ask. Full of question.
"Why ask?", she replies while
looking at me. I can see her grey eyes. Her hair as white as snow. She's one of
the magnificent beauties.
"Just wondering. Because, you're a
girl. Frail maiden. I never expect you're be a strong brute.", I answer
her question.
She laugh.
"You're funny, Xi. I only become a
strong brute when I had to. Like a lion. They only become strong when enemies
approach.", she replies while laughing silently.
"And yet, you still don't answer my
question.", I continue while climbing a hill. Rocky. Pretty hard, for an
injured person like mine.
"Hmm, I learn from Elisia, our best
fighter in COL.", she answer.
"How great is she?"
"If you give me a diamond and a gold, I
say she's diamond."
"I see."
"Wanna learn?"
"Can I?
"Of course!"
"Under one condition."
Huh?
"What condition are we talking?"
"You must join COL first."
"What must I do to join COL?"
"Easy. Just vow to our leader. Then,
you're COL member."
"I see..."
Interesting.
Indeed. COL.
Wait a second.
"Hey Puxxie."
"Hmmm?"
"What is COL stands for?"
"Children Of Light."
"Oh.."
Then on the peak
of the hill, I see it. A wall.
Wondering, what
lies behind it.
"Welcome to
COL base, XiStarry.", Puxxie smiles. I smile back.
I'm here.
COL base.
